I’ve done a search and found no threads on these. Has anyone played a DTC bass, if you have what are your thoughts? I’ve seen them on instagram and YouTube and they look great but I’ve never played one, or even seen one personally. Thanks

That is one beautiful bass. I’ve also always liked them. I should have bought one when they were less expensive. Maybe one day I will find one in my price range. Congratulations on your find!

I had the same problem until I practiced singing without playing until I had it down perfect. Then I practiced the bass line until it was committed to muscle memory. Then when I combined the two I didn’t have to think about the bass line and that made harmonizing a lot easier. It worked for me.

I have a b3n, but rarely use it. There is no xlr out on it so you would still need to get a di. So for that reason I do not recommend it for you.

I also love reading your reports. You should seriously consider writing a book with these.

What I would do, is read all this advice then do what sounds best and works best for you.

I used to play in a originals heavy rock band and smiling was not our “image”. Then I played in a regular bar rock cover band and smiling and looking like we were having fun was the rule. I enjoyed the fun band a lot more.
