What songs have bass lines that are pretty much repetitive for the whole song but are great bass lines/songs none the less?

Things like Good Times by Chic etc.

Sade's 'Paradise.' After a 3-note intro, it's the exact same riff for 3 minutes.

  5. ^^^ Was just going to recommend Paul S. Denman (Sade). Long - term fan of his, always liked his taste / tone / time / feel. Serves the song perfectly.

  6. Here is a sample of Mr. Denman.... I absolutely adore this video: Sade has such a classy yet steamy stage presence, the whole band is fantastic (edit - not to mention, the mixer feed audio sounds deliciously good)

John McVie’s iconic line in the Chain. Duck Dunn’s line in Time is Tight. Nikki Monninger’s line in Panic Switch.

"Stand by Me" comes to mind considering the bass is the prominent instrument in the song.

Billy Jean - I realize it changes a little but is still very repetitive.

Almost goofy in it's simplicity, but wow does it work.
