P-Bass Pickups - What are your favourites?

Triple threat + b axis = fantastic. The triple threat has more bass so it is particularly nice in the bridge position.

Backbeat Club - For Those Who Silently Rumble

Got the email and installed the app. It connected quickly and works great! I remember all the discussion about the Bluetooth chip set and that being a future thing. Now it is here!

My 2 favorite P’s in one bass

Love my double P’s and recently made a pickup change in one of my Clement basses. Previously was set up with 2 B-axis but I swapped out the bridge pickup for a Triple Threat. What a wonderful growl. Either with each pickup solo or as a blend. Plus it looks cool.

2025- any thoughts on current travel bass guitars? Trying to get ideas for a project

I have one of these: Snap Dragon e-Bass | Snap Dragon Guitars Took about 3 weeks to make. I travel with it inside my carry on bag for business travel. I travel with a standard 21” carry on, btw. Also bought some neoprene off of amazon and made a custom sleeve for it. 29” scale is fine for...

Musician’s Friend SDOTD (Oct 29): Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS23

I stare at these anytime they pop up. Are they any good as a beater-bass? Just something to practice on that will stay in tune and doesn’t feel rough.

    Sad day: Audere is closing

definitely not presenting old news. I have a bass with a bartolini preamp that I’ve never really loved. Finally getting around to looking at changing it and bam…. Now I have to make new choices! Any recommendations for an alternate? John East was always the plan B (or A for many)!

Club Clement (Part 7: Post your basses here)

Not speaking for Tom but I believe his count on FB was over 570. I can speak for these which I currently play almost every day: 420 - Phoenix - my first from Tom. Also too pretty to play but sounds and feels perfect. Standard PJ 517 - Mike - my daily driver . Fantastic Double-P. 547...

Club Clement (Part 7: Post your basses here)

Tom - your work is incredible and I appreciate all of the basses you have made for me. I have had Tom build me 3 basses. Of all of the basses I own or have owned, yours are the most comfortable and are always my go-to. They play and sound great. I thank you for all of your efforts in...

Recently added 2 more. They are fabulous and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard about them sooner.

    Who's got a favorite strap?

I’ve tried most of the above and was using a Lekato for a while. Most of my basses have those. Just recently fell in love with Well Hung straps. https://reverb.com/shop/well-hung-guitar-accessories?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=shop&utm_content=21843 . Picked one...

Decent 2 bass gig bag that doesn’t break the bank?

Another vote for the Protec on Amazon: Here’s the thing…. These bags change your life. Don’t be intimidated by the possible weight. If you harry 2 basses in 2 cases, this weighs a little less than the 2. You don’t even need to bring 2 basses in this case if you don’t want to. But for me...

I am indeed! Still very happy with it! Was jammin’ on it last night! It rocks!
