    NBD- Nate Mendel Signature Precision

I modified mine to perfection. Added a light bridge (so sue me!) and USA hipshots. The finish on these basses are the winner as much as the pickups. Now 8 lbs, 1 oz of PERFECT balance... it always had the tone.

This relic job just doubled the value of this bass.

I can see where you're going here. But I've bought pre-faded and pre-shrunk jeans for 30 years... are they fake? No... just comfortable. I feel the same about the "road worn/relic" basses. They just FEEL right to me. (Now, for me, I kept my money and have a MIM Vintera 50's P but I don't think...

What will you NOT tolerate with a brand new bass

You forgot one.... LBS! Yep it can be a little sharp on the edges or even have lots of cosmetic flaws but it's a 10lbs brick, vintage or not, you can keep it!!

The most balanced and best "feeling" basses I've ever experienced. I so lusted for the 5 string PJ. 8lbs of perfect balance, not a sharp edge.... never pulled the trigger, wish I would have now. R.I.P. Mike sir

Fender 50s Precision Bass MN VS Fender Vintera 50s P Bass MN

Just picked the Dakota yesterday. 8lbs 12 oz. (rez-o-lite's here we come!) that said... I'm a manic and took my food scale INTO two different GC's. I weighted another Dekota at the other store at 8lbs 10oz but the action was jacked up a bit, not bad, but not comforting either. I also saw the...

When you record, do you go for "feel" or "no mistakes"?

I usually blend the two and put no mistakes with feel and get "no feel"!!

Be honest, how many of you

Let me be clear... I have no F'ing CLUE what she's doing. BUT, I bet Joe Hubbard does! I'm SURE most of what is happening is explained in DETAIL in Joe's Functional Harmonic Concepts book. https://www.joehubbardbass.com/functional-harmonic-concepts/ You can thank me later... maybe? :-0

Scotts Bass lessons lifer? pros vs. cons?

HELL NO... I dropped all but Joe's lessons once I started and really got moving with him. But it took a good six to eight months for me to "get there." But I got to where I understood he was covering all the corners and you can't study with him and someone else, because you can't server two...
