    Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen

    Who's Your Bass Teacher???

The very first person to show me anything on the bass is Paul Jackson from the Headhunters

    Double Bass Avery Sharpe !

I was going over newbie upright bassists links and think we're missing a couple - Avery Sharpe , who was MCcoy Tyners bassist for 25 years is a serious bad ass especially his Arco . Reggie Workman is another bassist that any and every newb to upright jazz playing should hear .

Double Bass What are albums to get for Michael Moore

Bill Evans live at keystone corner 1978 with Philly Joe Jones is the only one I've heard him on

    Double Bass Marc Johnson?

I love his playing , and have a ton of his live stuff including sound boards from bass desires , and just about all of his live out put with Bill Evans

    Richard Davis

Mack the Knife , he absolutely drives this album, Eric Dolphy live at the five spot.

Bill Laswell doing some shows in SF

Check out Third rail, of course without Bernie Worrell, the fact that Laswell and James Blood Ulmer are even playing together again is amazing , and check out Bass Invaders Jah Wobble , Josh Werner , of Roots Tonic

    The Fretless Club (Part IV)

I agree , they are sturdy bass's and they sound great too, that's what I had until I got the G&L , the best bang for my buck at the time .
