    Ipad use.

I've been using an iPad for several years now - having got rid of several binders of music. No issues seeing the screen - in fact, it's great in low light situations when it would be a challenge to see sheet music. Depending on how good/bad your eyesight will dictate the screen and font sizes.

    Retirement, any regrets

Very apropos discussion. After 40+ years in IT, I will be retiring at the end of this month. I turn 65 in a couple of weeks, going on Medicare - lots of changes on the horizon, but I'm ready. Can't say I don't have some anxiety with all the change, but at this point I feel I have plenty of...

    My mouth does funny things

I've been told my jaw is pretty "active". I typically don't notice it myself, but when I do, it's because it's following the rhythm/timing of the song, which I guess gets translated to what my picking hand is doing.

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

It's my understanding either way is the same - i.e. in parallel. Originally I was daisy-chaining my cabs, but recently switched to running each cab individually from the amp.

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

Good choice - I went the same direction. Started out with the D-350 and the 112, then later upgraded to include the 115. Very happy with the the overall combination.

Question on amp connection to Subway 112

Just to close out this thread, I wanted to give a shoutout to Andy (agedhorse) for his service/support in replacing my bad Speakon jack. I removed the crossover circuit board from my cab, and shipped it to him on Monday afternoon. Granted we're only ~100 miles apart, but he received it on...

Question on amp connection to Subway 112

Thanks for both of your responses - PM sent. I also realized this cab has the combo connector - i.e. supports 1/4" plug as well, although I believe Speakon is the preferred connection. I could potentially use that to daisy chain off of my 115 as the D-350 only supports Speakon - amp to 115...

Question on amp connection to Subway 112

Hi - I've had a situation where the Speakon cable from my amp to the Subway 112 doesn't connect reliably. I've tried multiple cables with the same result, so it's definitely an issue with the Speakon connector on the cab. If I twist it slightly clock-wise, it works, but will some times vibrate...

    A/V people - I have a question

My first choice would probably be to go the route you suggest of using the TV's HDMI ports and sending everything back to your Denon via the ARC HDMI. However, something to be aware of - I have a fairly new Sony Bravia smart TV and it wasn't able to send one of the audio signals properly to my...

    NCD mesa subway 115

Ditto here - In the last few months, picked-up a D350, 112, and last week 115. Not too much time with the combo yet, but really liking it thus far.

    Add handles to Subway 1x12’s?

I carry mine with one of the side handles, off to one side of my body and rest it against my leg/hip to spread the load out.

Which 115 cabinets for stand alone: Hiwatt SE115F, Reeves 115, Mesa Subway 115, Bag End S15-N

As a newbie to purchasing bass gear - recently purchased Subway D-350, my understanding is the Subway 115 is 8 ohms - so the max wattage with the D-350 would be 175. I'm assuming that's still plenty of power for most venues, e.g. mid size Church, club, etc? Been reading a lot of good reviews...

    Precision with jazz bass neck

I've got an American Ultra Precision Bass that I picked-up used a few months ago. Looking up the serial number on Fender's website, it should have a Precision Bass neck with "White Pearloid Dot" inlays. But it actually has a Jazz neck with rectangular inlays. The serial number on the back of...
