You have a fine taste in basses! My two basses are a fretless four exactly like this one (even same color) and a modulus FU 5'er. Whoever gets this - won't regret. Classic fretless sound, put some black nylon strings on it and you got yourself THE ULTIMATE stealth bass. Good luck with the sale :)

I don't have any process pics of the making of my bass uke, but i thought I'd share my results here with you anyways. I used a 1/2 sized classical guitar, mahogany body and neck, spruce top and rosewood fingerboard for my conversion. I have also installed a piezo pickup under the bridge saddle...

IMO it must possess original Fender neck and body, otherwise it's no longer a Fender...

Yes I have. I used some really dense tape and the dripping epoxy bonded with it, so I guess you should use something softer that could be easily removed :)

I went the epoxy way and its gone pretty bad. Not something that can't be fixed though. I've epoxied my fingerboard with 12 coats and sanded it with various sand papers and wet sand paper, and it's been great. When I removed the tape from the back of the fingerboard it also removed a little...
