    Slickest/smoothest-feeling rounds for fretless

Fodera round wounds are a bit smoother feeling than any other round wound I've tried. Not massively, but enough to notice. I assume they're the same since DR took over their manufacture.

    Teacher in Toronto?

I took one online lesson from Rich Brown. It wasn't cheap, but it was probably the best bass-related money I've spent.

    Price checks on a bass?

My guess is that any TB member is probably going to tell you to look at listings on Ebay and Reverb that have sold, since that's a pretty good indicator of the current market value of an instrument. Those services both take a cut (I think 13%) and the seller often pays for shipping, so you could...

    Ryan Madora

It is. Not to take away from the discussion about Ryan, but Rich is awesome. His soloing is incredible, and his tone is immediately recognizable. He's also a super nice guy. I took one online lesson with him during the pandemic, and it was the best bass-related money I've ever spent.

Mike Peters, of The Alarm, RIP

I was there, too! They played two years in a row, so I saw them again in 84.

    I wanna find a bass

Ibanez doesn't make that. Birdsong might.

    Affordable flatwounds for 6-string bass

I understand that everyone has a budget, but for a six string set, $40 doesn't give you many options. And like rogerbmiller says, those strings will last you along time, so you might want to save up, since it'll give you more options. I have a five string with a high C, and for a while, I was...

    Roger's take, in a nutshell

The one good thing about threads like these is that it's easy to pick out whose profile you want to go to and click the "Ignore" button, because it's clear that none of their opinions are based in reality. Like the ones who think that Roger is somehow making extra profit when customers choose...

fretless to fretted in a swipe

I haven't seen this one before, but there was at least one other system from probably at least 10 years ago that did something similar (except the frets didn't rotate — they just dropped). Aside from the questions about uneven fingerboard/fret wear, I wonder how these systems to with changes in...

    Hilarious negative assessments of musicians

GTR was 1986, and the "SHT" review was in Musician Magazine: The Real SHT: Critic J.D. Considine on His Infamous 'GTR' Review

    New Semi-hollow Ibanez Fretless

This demo is even worse than the video on the ibanez site.

Looking for MIDI solution: Two ins to one out

You're still contradicting ting yourself. In your first post, you say "The purpose of this is to keep a keyboard connected to the synth while being able to play the synth using MIDI from my DAW." So that means that the synth (which I assume is the Integra 7) is connected to your computer (i.e...
