    Nordstrand powerblade vs Dimarzo DP127

I have DP127 on one of my p-basses. It's hot and bassy, but not at all aggressive like I first expected. It's sounds rather smooth and velvety. All that hotness seems to turn into nice soft bassy sound. I really like it and I think you should give it a chance before going for that Nordstrand you...

    Radius-ed J bass pickups (relentless)

Seymour-Duncan quarter pounder jazz pickups are radiused - at least the bridge one (I have PJ Duncans) - so i suppose the neck one is radiused too. And like mentioned DiMarzio have them. Nordstrand too. Then there are some others but not really that many. You can ease this problem by using a...

Cheaper Alternatives for the Darkglass Microtubes B3K V2 CMOS Bass Overdrive Pedal

Vote for Joyo Double Thruster. Really good dirt pedal! On the other hand there are lots of used Darkglass pedals for sale so they are quite affordable compared to the price of new ones.

A Collection of Visual Bass Mods - Show Off Yours!

I like to visually mod my basses very often with most typical mods being changing the pickguards, knob and pickup covers. This keeps things interesting! The stock colours are usually on the safe side and just a little boring. Here are some current looks.p

Has your taste changed over the years?

Used to be most into jazzes, then came Rickenbacker era which has turned into Precision bass love, which will probably eventually fade away. I wonder what comes next!

The Cheapest and Most Expensive Basses you Gig With!

The cheapest and lost most expensive basses I gig with depicted below. Harley-Benton 50's Precision bass and Rick 4003. About 2500€/$ price difference between them. Difference in quality is much narrower. Nowdays you can get really good quality for next to nothing.

94mm White Jazz Pickup Covers NO HOLES

I bet you can find some from aliexpress for a few bucks. Been buying some pickup covers from there and I remember I've seen white ones with unexposed pole pieces too.

What kind of strings do you use?

95%:ly roundwound guy. I almost exclusively use cheapest harley-bentons from Thomann which cost 5,60€ per pack. They sound just as good as high-end brand strings. Sometimes I go crazy and buy 9,90€ harley-bentons.

    DemonFX Pedals - Any good?

I have few DemonFX pedals and mostly I'm disappointed with the build quality. One of them - the chorus pedal - works like a charm. The Darkglass Harmonic booster copy has some problems with 9V input jack so the pedal makes squealing sound sometimes. It's still in use just because it simply...

The B-string of my Sandberg bass sounds bad

It doesn't sound more muffled when played further up the neck. But I've tried 0.160 with other than Sandberg basses too and some lesser quality basses lose a bit of clarity. So I guess Sandbergs great build quality has got something to do with it.
