I think we all know theres no need to be critical when it comes to these brands:). They all have a worthy reputation for making amazing basses. You guys are lucky enough to be in the country in which they are made and thus can easily find one to try out and either know of many of guys with...

    The Official MTD USA Thread

Well in a few weeks I shall be finishing a deal on my 535 for a rare Roscoe SKB with LG P'up positioning and a beautiful finish, it can be seen here. It now has Nordstrand Big Singles installed. This has really all stemmed from having a recent go on that Roscoe, I've kind of realised that as...

Ahhh the honeymoon period is over, it's an amazing bass but I feel Roscoes are just more what I'm after.

    Help me make my MTD!

I'd go for the Walnut/Ash/Maple combo Ash, it's the same as my 635 and it is the one I always end up playing over my 535, hence why I moved it on, it just growls and has a lovely Hi-Fi zing to the overall tone as well.

Recieved this beast today: What we've got here is a MTD USA 635, an Ash body with a lovely figured Walnut Burl top, and an Ash neck with a Maple fingerboard. I've got it tuned a full step down and it as expected, just plays itself. A few new pics of my 535:

Here's mine: #855, it is a splated maple top on a mahogany body with a maple neck and board. Altogether it makes one amazing bass, it is the best bass I'm likely to ever own or to play, well until I've got another one, and seeing all the others in this thread alone is not...
