I'm scared to ask how else one might consume rhubarb other than orally?

    Hofner Beatle Bass

I love my CT and every time I play the Ed Sullivan Icon at my local GC, I want it. I don't need it and can't really see when and where I would use it...but the GAS!

    Best Looking Bass....

Sting always had nice basses. Including Fenders. And lest we forget...

tried some SBMM RAY34s in the shop, and they SUCKED - is this normal?

I have two Ray34ca basses. Fretted and Fretless and both are fantastic. They are hotter than my other basses, but I have compensated for that in my settings in my processors. Do they sound "just like" a bass that costs two to three times what I paid? No. Close enough? Absolutely!

    Best Bass You've Ever Heard?

Geddy's Wal, Marc Egan's Pedulla Fretless, and Sting's live tone on "Certifiable".

Watermelon body with a pineapple top, orange capacitors, croissant bridge (chocolate filled for rounder more sustained tone), spaghetti squash strings with a raspberry core, pretzel neck with a rhubarb board. Vanilla frets. And THAT is the best bass for metal.

Stingray and P, or Stingray and J....:'(

Well, if you go the All Three route, you may as well pick up a Hofner and a Rick. And a Pedulla Fretless, just in case.

Stingray and P, or Stingray and J....:'(

I say Ray and P. I don't miss my J basses now that I alternate my Ray34ca's and P's. Sometimes I miss my Geddy J, but then I play my Ray33ca, with a very J neck and a ballsier tone.

If Fender asked you to design your OWN bass...

And the fretted would have Geddy blocks and binding on the neck.

If Fender asked you to design your OWN bass...

I've been thinking about it a little more, and truly what I would like is a Precision body with an active Bartolini P/J pickup set, Badass II bridge, and an unlined Fretless maple board jazz neck with a Tele bass headstock. Since we are in fantasy land, I would have it in the old Carvin...

    "Cheap" Bass destroys the boutique.

When you see someone drive past in a Bugatti or Lamborghini, do you think, "Now, there goes a great driver?" Or see someone driving a mid-80's Le Car and think, "He must be a beginner?" Whatever gets the job done the way you want it done is what is right. You can always upgrade a less expensive...

Essex (SX) Bass Club - Part 15

The CAR finish is really nice. My two Ursa 1's are that finish and I love it.
