I've since put Labella 760FL's on both my P-Basses and they work nicely with the Model P's. Nice thump and plenty of definition.

I have both the Ed Sullivan Ignition and HCT basses and they are both very nice basses. Very comfortable and easy to play and sing with.

I use Labella 760FL's on a P Bass with a maple board. I can hear a slight bit more brightness on that bass than the one I have with a rosewood board, but it's not enough to make any real difference to my ears. I just adjust the tone control slightly and I'm good.

9lbs would be my limit. If I was going to buy another bass (which I have no intention of anytime soon), anything over that would be a hard pass for me.

I don't know what Fender requires to be a dealer these days. But years ago, a local retailer told me that he had inquired to be a Gibson dealer, and was told he had to make at least $100,000 worth of orders to qualify. He didn't do it. The local GC carry Gibson anyway now. He is a Fender dealer...
