I just installed some Labella 760FS on my new single coil Precision . They will be there to stay !
I found the Rotosound flats had too much tension. The Labella flats were more comfortable and I like the black silk.
Was that the 45-105 set for both?
I've found 49-109 La Bellas okay, but think I'll be very cautious with Rotosound flats, and start with 40-100
Ti flat just match the Vintera 50s P stock pup nicely after two months, those unrefined, raw sound along with right amount in your face tone just sound cool . My new favourite p vibe.

I've been breaking in a set of the new V3 Sadowsky Blue Label Flats on a '87 G&L SB1 for the past month. A really great pairing.... Actually a bit surprising for me, as I've not normally been happy of the mix of MFD's with SS strings. But rolling off the volume to 75 - 80% gets you right into vintage Pbass tone.
My initial plan was to break these in and then pull them so that I'd have a ready to go set of backups for my main player...... But I'm rethinking that.

I had a set of DTFs on my new SB-1 for a couple of weeks. I've the pickups quite low and the DTFs were sounding fantastic. I found they were the dominant partner — so much so that I had to take them off, as they were taking the bass away from what I wanted of it. But I miss the sound.
I've already got my LB-100 wearing Chromes and a stock-wind Fralin. Its a combination I love.
My SB-1 is about to get the a set of LaBella Low Tension Flats. The G&L MFD pickup isn't a good match for LaBellas, so....
I could just get another Fralin, but that would be a little unimaginative. What would be just a tiny bit more softer-edged than the Fralin? The Aguilar?
I've been reading threads like this one, and came across the opinion that the SPB-1 and LowTFlats are too much of one thing.
Btw, the routing on the SB-1 is interesting in that the pickup is slightly closer to the bridge than is usual for a P-bass. I'm trying to work out how much that will affect things. I'm thinking the LaBella's strength of character will take that in its stride.

EMG Geezer Butler with Dunlop flats…lots of top end, more of a high-fi sound but gets really smooth as you roll the tone off. I’m not a big fan of LaBella flats with the tone up so I feel like the Dunlops are more versatile and that’s a big deal to me.
EMG GZR with La Bella 760FS for a half a step down tuning has been my go to for a decade. I tried some Chromes (45-100) in standard tuning and liked the brighter, different vibe but I’ll be fine tuning the gauges (got some singles on the way) to either 40-60-80-100 or 45-60-80-100 depending on how I like or dislike the thinner G.
TIs with stock Fender pickups. Also TIs with Fender Original Ps, Duncan SPB-1s and Fralin SCPBs, Fender SCPBs, Duncan SCPBs.
Never tried TIs on a J. But Labella Flats the lighter set sound excellent.

Currently loving GHS Precision Flats 40-95 with EMG GZR on my Fender American P Special Honeyburst. Sounded really good with pretty dead LaBella 760FLs but could never get the E-A and D-G strings to sound balanced tonally regardless of pickup height.
I was about to replace the MFD pickup on my G&L SB-1 and then I tried LaBella 760FX...they bring that bass to life in a way no other flatwound really has (including the 760FLs) - just plump juicy and delicious!
