Hopefully I am not the only one, but I CANNOT stand the feel of a jazz. I love the sound, but the neck always feels a bit funny to me, I have never played one with low action, and I cannot stand playing on the pickups. Who else is with me?

Who are your favorite Prog Rock/metal bassists? Mine are Mark Michell from Scale the Summit and Ramos Williams from TesseracT. Their compositions are just mesmerizing and rhythmical.

Modes and Chords right now.

I learn theory pretty often, I memorize it and I practice it. But I don't know how to apply this in music, and i play the same sounding stuff over any track. How do you apply theory and what is the importance of it? I don't want to just play chord tones in my music, I want to be able to add a...

They don't know how to play 12 bar blues, jazz, funk, country, reggae, motown, or Latin music. They just play classic rock, and when I ask them about bands like Muse or Incubus or 311, they say that its not "real rock," I cannot stand narrow minded people or musicians like that.

All the kids in my school that play music are graduating or in School of Rock and won't play anything but classic rock. And every kid I know plays bass.

I have gig worthy equipment. My own cab, head, pedal setup, and everything. It might be because I'm 15, but I don't think age should matter.
