Japanese 75 Jazz reissue back to stock?

I'm may be selling my 1994 MIJ 75 Jazz reissue soon, I've got all the original parts that came on it safely stored in the case. I'm on the fence about putting it back to stock before the sell or just leaving the mods installed. The mods are: a Fender Noiseless pickup in the bridge position...

    Musicman Stingray Club, Part II!

Update , My 2000 Purple Pearl SR4H sold today. I still got one Ray , we'll see how long I keep it, I've got my eye on a Vintage Fender Jazz bass. Kinda pricey though.I don't think I'll ask for a number in the club as I may not have the remaining Ray too long. Just wanted to share a peek

    Custom Stingray SR4 HH

Sure thing Boogie, I'm sure I'll figure out soon if it's a keeper or not , gonna play it at rehearsal and see if it works for me there. If I decide to let it go , it won't be for a trade this time around, it has some unique features so it won't go cheap. But I will let you know just the same.

    Custom Stingray SR4 HH

Here is my Purple Pearl 2000 SR4H that is being replaced by the 2010 SR4HH cause I don't need two Rays (correction can't afford to keep two Rays) oh well, we'll see what comes along down the road. I Probably should try and join the Stingray club, ha ha

    Custom Stingray SR4 HH

Actually, the fact is no money ever changed hands on this bass anywhere down the line, it was gifted from Eric to his guitar tech buddy ( a local Long Beach Goodfella) that has been doing work for him for years. The bass then came to me in a trade. I needed a bass and this will do fine for now...

    Custom Stingray SR4 HH

I picked up a new bass over the weekend, it was custom built for Eric Wilson ( Sublime ) in 2010 . It shares features/ specs from the new Classic series bass line from EB .Probably the biggest difference is it's HH equipped. It's finished in a custom Seafoam/Grey, Old school headstock...

    making my own cable

I made my own custom length speaker cables using 12 ga. SJ type cable from Home Depot . I ordered 6 Neutrik two conductor Speakon connectors online and saved a grip of cash compared to store bought cables. I understand the importance of reliable cables but with the Neutrik's solderless...

    Carvin BX500: Part II

This past weekend I was jamming with a few friends ( we play mostly newer rock, some classic rock), I was playing my BX500 through an Avatar Neo 212 ,I had both of my basses, a Schecter Stiletto Elite 4 string and my Lakland 44-01 roundwounds on both. This was the first session using the BX500...

Will Carvin BX600 have enough juice?

I have the BX600 too, (at least until It gets bought) I bought it as a combo with the Neo 15 cabinet, the 15 inch speaker that came from Carvin is 4ohm and I also run an Avatar Neo 212 4ohm cabinet, the BX600 easily powers both cabinets. The specs are: 225watts at 8 ohm,400 watts at 4 ohm and...
