Hi all, I've gotten feedback from Nordstrand and they don't think the Zen pickups are strong enough for this design. They recommended the BigMan. Another thought is to use Aztec's sidewinder, remove the front plate and revise the keeper. Do you have any experience with either of these pickups?

Thanks for the insight on the symbols. I really like your name. I think we could use either. Since the Phoenix has wings, we could consider the bird having the rod of Asclepius in its beak.

I haven't found a stylized cross in my quick search. I did find a Caduceus which has been used as a symbol for medicine. I've attached a few more designs of a Phoenix. All images came from FAVPNG.com.

I'm getting some feedback from the arts world. One suggestion was to incorporate the third paradise symbol by Michel Angelo Pistoletto. Maybe this could be the 12th fret design?
