I got my Serek about a month ago, and what a blissful month it has been :) the most wonderful bass I’ve ever owned...it just gets me!

Here’s a semi-related question: if you were replacing an EBMM single coil pup with something with hotter output - let’s say a Nordstrand Blade ;) - would you keep the same EBMM phantom coil in there, or would you want an identical pup for the phantom?

Great advice! Do you have any experience with adding a Preamp/DI box in the mix between guitar/amp? Since I've always played passives, this has always been my go-to section for EQ/color - I use a Pike Vulcan XL, but with an onboard EQ to deal with too, I gotta admit I'm just confused/overwhelmed!
