I’ve got the same Special 5 in Burnt Ends and it’s phenomenal. I only had my USA SUB 5 for a few weeks before I decided to buy the Special and couldn’t be happier. The USA SUB 5 is wonderful and has a ton of mojo, but the new Special is flawless.

Thanks for the discussion everyone. I agree my initial reaction could surely be considered hypocritical if compared to other examples of "competitive free market" consumerism (FSO's, Pedals, Electronics). I guess it was surprising to see, considering there haven't really been many alternatives...
