    Sandberg Lionel short scale bass

I like the Sandberg Lionel better. I no longer have the Lakland Skyline hollowbody. The CIJ Mustang is my backup which I only play once in a while. The Lionel is my main bass for every gig. Good luck to you. I hope you enjoy your new bass.

    Tips for buying

You mentioned the Sandy Cali… My Sandberg California is the best neck I have ever played. Easier to play than any bass I have ever owned. I started out with Fenders, then Lakland now Sandberg. The Sandy takes the cake. I can’t put it down. It’s great for gigs with long sets… very...

    Sandberg Lionel short scale bass

I agree. I also have a CIJ Mustang and a Lakland Skyline Hollowbody short scale. I would say the Sandy has a much better neck than either bass, thinner, amazing. I have larger hands and used to think I liked a chunkier neck, the playability of the Sandy changed that. With the short scale and...

What do you do when the recording engineer doesn't want to use your "sound"?

Have a heart to heart talk with your BL. You have known him for eight years. He obviously likes your chops on the bass. Find out what his vision is for the next album. He sees your support and tenacity. You have hung in there through thick and thin. Let him know that it’s about the music...

    Sandberg Lionel short scale bass

Here is a cool video that explains the Sandberg bridge… The Sandberg guide that came with my Lionel short scale does not show the correct information regarding the bridge. The photo of the bridge seems wrong in the pamphlet. I need to adjust intonation on the E string. The video shows the...

    Dirt pedal for flatwounds?

I play short scale basses, all are using LaBella flats. Lately I have been using the Lucydreamer Bass OD by Jam Pedals. (The black one made for bass, not the green one which is made for guitar.). It is easy to dial in your sound and can go from a little dirt to over the top. I use it...

The Praise and Worship Band Bassists Club

Playing bass at a biker church on Saturday and also at my home church on Sunday mornin. Saturday night at the biker church is fun because we can really cut loose there and rip the roof off. Sometimes we extend the interlude or intro so our sax player, the lead guitarist and even the humble...

    Best easy to use compressor?

Hey Scoobs, I greatly appreciate all your reviews of compressors. That is why I finally decided on the Cali CB. A lot of us Worship bass players use compression and other pedals at church because a lot of times there is a volunteer in the tech booth that may not have the training required to...

    Best easy to use compressor?

I used to use an SP compressor by Xotic. It worked well. It has 2 knobs and a 3 way switch for high, med and low. I always turned the knobs a 1/4 turn to about 9 O’clock. It gets noisy on high but worked well on the low and med settings. I paired it up with an EP booster, also made by...

I am also interested in the original wiring diagram. Thanks.
