Right now I have a Peavey TNT 600 watt combo amp, and the full power of the amp is not utilised unless paired with an extension cabinet. Would using a 1x18 pa subwoofer cabinet be a viable option?

I am very unfamiliar with PA systems in general. Is there any major difference I should be aware of, as far as differences in pay cabs and bass cabs? Also, has anyone had any experience or heard of anyone using a pa speaker with their amp?

This may be a dumb question.. But would it make any sense at all to use a PV 118 sub? It's aimed for PA systems, but the frequency range and power handling, impedance and dimensions and price all seem to be about right. Will the 18" speaker be too slow and muddy?

I mean, I can't slap the A a single, focused time with enough power to actually slap it against the fretboard and not also hit the E. I think there is something fundamentally wrong with my technique, but I've watched dozens of videos on slap technique and I can't figure it out.
