Yes I did, they told me it needed a whole new front board. :/ They fixed it and it has been serving my band ever since!

So I've contacted Tech 21 and Lloyd suspects that there's something defective about the unit. Looks like I'm going to be sending it to the other side of the country for repair. Either than or contact my tech and see if he has any experience with sansamps.

I've also realized that the Drive and the Presence knobs make no noticeable difference to the tone whether maxed out or turned off. The active switch in the front is pushed in.. The only knobs that actively work are the eq and the level.

I'll probably give them a call tomorrow. The -20 pad was out, I pushed it in on both the input for the xlr and the 1/4 inch and it didn't make a difference at all. The 50/50 was also disengaged. I'll try messing with it more once I get the time, hopefully it's just some kind of user error and...

My drive knob was at halfway, so i don't think that is the problem. So could it be some kind of issue with the RBI itself? Faulty or something?

Well its an active two band preamp to passive EMG HZ pickups. The bass has four knobs, treble/bass/vol/blend.

I was considering a sansamp in the future but it's out of the question for me currently. Last time I used the fx loop on my amp with a turbo rat, it sound like utter crap, might have been the pedal.

There's a hissing high end and a thinness to the tone of the bass I'm currently using, especially when I shift the blend knob towards the bridge. Bass eq is flat and the amp is dialed in with plenty of low end. Possible pre-amp issue?
