What about Adding a tweeter? one that's not too harsh sounding. or would it still be a better idea to have a seperate box with one or two 6.5? Something like the eminence apt-50 that's in the Ampeg PN-115HLF.

I would really like to add a midrange to my ampeg svt215e. I recently replaced the 2 speakers with 2 legend cb15s. Theyre rated for 300 watts each . They claim they go up to 3khz which is good but I would like to extend the range of the cab and make them work on the lows more. So my question is...

Negative feedback is alright as long as you can justify it. Most people on forums just end up opening their mouth to release a hot steamy s**t and somehow the topic always ends up changing. Lol.

Yea, but There only batting on 3 of the walls and it's really flimsy material. I'm obviously going to glue it so it's not puffing out the vents lol. I'm just curious to how it will affect the frequency response.

Just going to do a little experiment. I'm planning on putting polyfill into my svt215e. The walls are already lined with some flimsy wool type material, and not even on all the walls. Has anyone done this to their cab? I'm not looking for negative feedback, this is strictly an experiment.

Also What should the power rating be of the HF drivers each speaker is 300 wats rms and they see 200 each (seymour duncan bass 400, pushes A LOT of power). Just don't want to MURDER the drivers, or will the crossover kill most of the power going to them and send it to the 15"?

Hey, recently I installed legend cb 15s in my svt215, They seem to sound arlight not as much bass or clarity as the original speakers (They died if you're wondering). Maybe the ports need to be readjusted due to the new xmax? I don't know. But The specs of the originals and these after markets...

Nope, going to need a new neck, the truss rod is also no good. last frets are popping and the previous owner filed the first few frets to compensate for the neck being bowed. So I guess I'll just play it as is till a neck shows up. Thanks for offering the fretless but I really need a fretted neck.

I just picked up one of these abotua week ago. absolutely loved the fat tone I was getting. way better than a 8x10 imo. Now the only problem is, is that the speaker lead wire is toast on the top speaker, is this a big job? or doable?

I want to add a piezo tweeter to my 2x12 with a crossover will it affect how many ohms the cabinet is?
