i built my avatar bass around a carvin thru neck w/wide spacing,i realized i play faster on my ibanez premium and rarely play my avatar bass anymore.if i did much slapping i may prefer the wider neck but it’s good technique practice to slap on a narrow neck,just my opinion

it’s really hard to beat ibanez for value vs price,from their value basses to my sr2605 great instruments. i bought a used sr190 on craigs list a yr ago for $125 that someone pulled the frets and filled the slots and it sounds and plays like a much higher priced bass

i’ve got both,the quality of an Ibanez premium bass to me is at least as good as Carvin/Kiesel also I think multiscale basses benefit 5@6 string instruments more than 4string

anybody got any experience playing a twisted neck bass? That intrigues me a little more than the multiscale feature,how much of an ergonomic difference does it make?
