I have never used a pick when playing bass. I have guitar picks that obviously don’t cut it. I know bluegrass guitar folks swear by the bluechip brand picks. Is there anything similar in the bass world? What do you like? Recommended thicknesses in general you’ve found to have good tone? Thanks!

I have a 2017 Jazz Bass. Natural body, maple neck. Love the thing. The serial number on the neck points to a white bass on the Fender serial number database. But the body does have a stamp saying it’s natural. Both the neck and body are from 2017. So what gives? Is this common? A quirk of a...

If you’re trying to go cheaper, I use the 2010 model Platinum Stage EQ, which I got for $99 or so. It sound fantastic and works great for dialing in double bass tone.
