If it bothers you, return it if possible. Be aware tho that nitro finishes are more susceptible to temperature/humidity changes during shipping and the box probably said something about waiting 24 hours before opening it in order for the bass to acclimate. Have you checked out the American Elite series basses? I know you said you didn’t want an active bass, but this has a passive/active switch and I think you may find the active electronics useful in some situations.

Play the gig and if it pops, put some liquid skin on it. Super glue might work, but then you will have super glue on your fingers for a week.

It is indeed a Sadowsky. NYC PJ 5 Standard. Chambered Alder with Quilted Maple Top.

It‘s a great rig. I can pair down with either the 210 or the 115 (I prefer the 115) or combine them if I really want to move some air. The BAmp is a great sounding amp and very simple to dial in a great sound.

Complete with a nice big cup of coffee. Perfect
