That's terrific! I was expecting the typical "I used this bass to pry apart a chain-link fence" relic, but this looks like an old bass that someone took really good care of.

RIP Dickie. Got to see him a few years ago in DC, and I'm really regretting not going to see him a year ago instead of studying for a midterm. Even at his age, he played and sang like a wild man.

I have a VOX Amplug. Its about the right price, and is really convenient.

I know it would change his tone, but my fingertips appreciate it when I play flatwounds as opposed to roundwounds. Having to adapt his tone is better than not being able to play at all.
