I just downloaded Reaper 4. I had it installed and tracking in less than 10 minutes. Everything worked great, although I do have some latency issues to overcome. An individual use license cost $60, so I'm happy for now

Just got the AudioBox 44 VSL USB2.0 with Studio One Artist. The box is excellent quality, but the software is a challenge. I say that; allow me to qualify myself. I know NOTHING about computer recording. The software installed trouble free into a Windows 7 system, and I did follow the directions...

I just picked up a Lenovo Thinkpad E420 with 4 GB RAM & a 320'GB hard drive @7200 rpm. I'll be running Cubase on it. I'm $400 into it at the moment. Will keep you posted on how well it works
