Yeah, I've got a Cort acoustic that is a solid instrument for the price. It's taken a beating and still sounds and plays excellent. I've only gotten my hands on a few Cort basses at music stores, but every time I've played one, I've been pleasantly surprised and how much value you get out of them.

I'd get lessons from my old high school bass teacher... except this time I wouldn't be such a crappy teenage turd-biscuit this time around and I'd actually put some effort into trying to learn the stuff he was trying to teach me.

Welp, the main thing I've learned about people's opinions on flats is that they're like fingerprints. Everyone has their own unique one! I'm still just giving them a shot. I'm feeling more used to them and just figuring out what tones I can get out of them and what I lose out on versus rounds...

I did it. I switched to flats (D'addario Chromes) on my Omen Extreme and... I have mixed feelings. I usually play rounds and gave flats a chance a while back on an old Fender Jazz I used to have. I've mostly been using the Omen to play with an acoustic guitar to do covers of classic rock and R&B...

I'm just a sucker for value basses, which is why the $400 price on these All in One instruments make these interesting to me. It's one of the reasons I like Schecters and Corts. They're not the best basses by a longshot, but I like what you get for what you pay for. Oddly, I end up drooling...

Yep. Tone knobs are super-easy to swap out and pretty inexpensive to replace.

I love my Schecter Omen Extreme. Very comfortable neck and has a decent variety of tones. At the price, I think it's a really great value.
