    Worth trading?

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to you for advice on a trade. I have a 66 Ampeg B15N in excellent condition (recently serviced). Someone is offering me a 2003 Fender Marcus Miller V in great condition as a trade. I also own a 61 B15n which I am keeping. What do you all think? Any advice will...

    68 Telecaster bass

I just plugged this bass into my 62 B15N and it sounds “HUGE”! It just filled the room with great vintage tone!

    62 B15n or 65 B15n?

Yes, the previous owner said that someone in Nashville did the work on it. The tolex is only seperated it’s just hanging on there. Some of the bottom is missing though but can’t be seen. Do you know if these early models came with a dolly?

    68 Telecaster bass

I own two Fender Rhodes pianos and I bypass the electronics on them. It gives you a clearer tone. The electronics on them just “muddy” the sound for my liking and I can still control the tone on my amp. The pickups on a Rhodes are magnetic.

I guess that’s the sound that they wanted. Previous owner mentioned that Ted Irwin had something to do with the bass.

Very well put! Thanks for that. The only way to control the tone is on the amp or mixer.

    68 Telecaster bass

Yes I have played it. It sounds very “Thumpy” but I guess the j pickup has a wider range as opposed to the original.

    68 Telecaster bass

Hello everyone! I really appreciate all of your reply’s! Thank you all so much! I failed to mention that the previous owner said that he had a Fender neck for sale and when I went to look at it he opened up the case and I saw that it was attached to a body. I paid 500 for it and it also included...

    68 Telecaster bass

I was told by previous owner that this very bass was used on many hit songs recorded in Nashville but he didn’t have any documents to back it up. He also said that they nicknamed it “The Monster”.

The neck on this bass is straight. I actually went to look at “a neck” as the owner described it but when he opened the case I saw that it was attached to a body!
