Went back and read some of my correspondence with the builder and FRB = Free Radical Bass. He had a FRG Free Radical Guitar model as well. It is still an awesome bass.

The maker lives in Northern Indiana (Greg Reszel). He sent me pictures from the build and a bunch of other cool glamour pics of the bass with other guitars (It has a twin guitar). How do you know it cam from a private collection in EU? Any back story would be nice.

Pretty sure there is only one other and not like this. Grem USA Cherry body neck thru. The pictures don't do the paintjob justice. There is small flake in it.

I am going to look at a 77 4001 Fireglo this weekend sometime. I have used other similar vintage Ricks and liked them. Might be interested in passing onto other if not my cup of tea.

Sounds like the bass that I just bought. The company (Grem USA) was around for about two years. Had a bunch of endorsers. Nice high end guitars. Produced at least three basses (their myspace is still on with pictures). They went under in 2009. I know whothe builder/designer of the guitars is but...

Dave's Guitar Shop in LaCrosse has a good rep for guitars. Looks like they have an ok collection of basses. Rockhaus in Milwaukee is another good one but it might be hit or miss because they carry only used stuff.

I was there a few weeks ago. I am not sure how "high end" their bass collection is though. They have plenty of Fender and the usual but I am not sure about the other stuff. You may want to call. Tons of gear though. They fixed my Super Reverb in one afternoon.

Anyone seen or played one of the other (2) basses that they have on their (old) myspace page? the guy I bought the bass from had a tele of theirs. Link Removed Sounds and plays great but I do not have a ton of experience. It will be interesting to see how it serves me.
