Yesterday NBD (Grem USA) + other N_D

I have been in the process of building a new rig and finding a bass for about a month. I had been primarily playing guitar for the last few years but decided recently to changing (back) to full time bass.

I was meeting a guy selling a bass yesterday and had no intention of buying a head, cabinet and a couple of pedals when the day began but that opportunity sort of presented itself.

Bass - 2007 Grem USA 002. I believe it was one of three made. I am not sure if they made any other basses in their time in business but if this one is any indication they should still be making them. Neck thru with a few different woods that I have no clue as to what they are other than purple heartwood. The little I have been able to make noise it sounded great both amplified and acoustically. I'll try to get up some more and better more detailed pics (not from my phone) to show the bass later.

There was a short thread about this bass in early December. The builder is a member at TGP. I am trying to engage him in some conversation but have been unsuccessful at this time.

Head, cabinet and Pedals - The Peavey Mark III series Head is functional (sounded fine last night), flip top cabinet is from an Ampeg B-18-N (so 18" Cleavland Speaker which is I believe the upgrade to the Fanes standard) head and cabinet (with trolley) and the pedals are an EH Octave Multiplexer and a DOD 680 Analog Delay (kind of just thrown in because he did not want this stuff around any more). Guy who owned the stuff was an old fiddle and bass C&W player from back in the day. They had already sold his Gibson bass (dang).

While the cabinet and head are not going to be my full rig since I have some other pieces on the way they will certainly make a nice basic rig for home unless I determine that it kills.

Sounds and plays great but I do not have a ton of experience. It will be interesting to see how it serves me.
