Sadly for me it's very hard nowdays to buy a MK6CBC bridge pickup. They just don't pop up anywhere. My other option was the P2 size Bartolini but the bridge model is missing in action aswell. Other brands like the Aguilar DCB pickups would work but with some little routing to make them fit. P4...

Thanks guys, will do both things. Check the output jack and test the pre at 18v. About the Bartolinis... well its seems like the MK6CBC to replace the MK-1's are really hard to find. Where do you buy Bartolini pickups ? From their own website ?

It only appears when the controls are pushed a bit, with the bass control being the most apparent. The bass control also brings up the volume on the OBP-3 so it makes me think this is related to a headroom problem or a component is lacking power to operate properly when the preamp is used "more"...

That's true plus i like high action which helps a lot in those cases. I would always go for the lightest string possible for a certain tunning. They just sound better to me. I was doing drop A with that .130t and still can go a little lower if needed.

Thanks guys. Just bought a couple .125 sets instead. Probably gonna have to change my tuning and go back to standard but screw it. These Sadowsky string are something else. My basses just sound different with them. Great tone.
