Since you’re happy with the amplified sound, my suggestion is probably not what you’re looking for. Using gut strings and a much higher string height could make it louder. But, of course, all basses are unique, and it’s an expensive thing to try unless you’re already gut-curious ;)

This thread is too broad, OP needs to give details about what priorities they have. Too many divergent scenarios (fastest, most profit, willing to ship, safest, near a big city or not, USA or not, etc.)

Yeah, use 1 Bag End when you’re keeping volume reasonable, 2 when you want to crank it up.

Also, as the OP showed, GC already had more than one of the same model vintage bass for sale. If any of those have been sitting unsold for a while, there’s not much incentive to put another into stock. Further depressing their offer.

I love this idea and have imagined exactly the same concept. I’m so happy to see someone trying it out! I think this could be a great way for a bass guitarist to get an upright bass tone. I could definitely see studios having something like this.

Thanks all for the input! I’m running a Marantz 2270 with the A speakers being DS940 tower speakers in the living room and B speakers being Focal bookshelf speakers (forget the model) in the kitchen. Lots of creative solutions. Ultimately I’ll end up getting a stereo L pad and keep careful...

Is there a reasonable way to mechanically reduce the sensitivity of speakers? I have two pairs of stereo speakers, one pair each in 2 different rooms. They are powered by the same source. One pair is louder than the other. I would like them both to be about the same loudness as each other, so...
