Those who own acoustic Bass Guitars, do you actually play them?

I went to weekend writing camp with my EBMM Stingray 5 & a 15w Samic amp & we were having a fine time, ‘till it came to the campfire session, no power out there! Promised myself this would never happen again & went shopping. First purchase was an Ibanez PCBE12H, (inspiring name, ‘eh?) all...

Double Bass Jamkazam - Play with multiple musicians in real time in different locations.

Sorry it’s been a while, but I did get a result via wifi with my Focusrite 2i2, got gear & a webcam mic configured, got latency down under 20 ms, & then my PC spat the dummy, an evolving crash scenario over a few months, not related to JK . . so I cannot pursue further till I get tech support...

Double Bass Jamkazam - Play with multiple musicians in real time in different locations.

Heya, JamKazam was the first response I got to my q about latency-free rehearsal/remote play device/software. It seems to me, it requires the Jamblaster to work, but like you, I’m gonna try my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 with the JK software & hope for a result. I’’l keep you posted. Cheers p

Any one Know what Fender is Announcing on 11/05/19?

There's new series of all the range, Strat & Tele guitars, Jazz & P basses; I think the word 'Super' was a buzz-word?

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Finally got space to try your advice & it worked like a charm! :hyper: I now have access to the Tone Lab editor, which is very cool. I loaded new patches first without realising I also needed to add the new effects - all humming along nicely. Many Thanks bro, p

Who is the most successful 'minimalist' bass player you know?

I’m a big James Taylor fan, check both 2009 cds, Hourglass & October Road, both of which feature Jimmy Johnson on bass. In particular, check try #8 of October Rd, Raised up Family, where Jimmy plays almost exclusively either 1 or 5 . . .where the 5 is held for 2 bars! Enjoy! p

Are you a 5 string or 4 string player?

I’m with you, mikeplaysbass! . . More tonal options & more access in 1 position with a 5. I got a blues gig in the mid 80’s soon after acquiring my EBMM stingray5 & was in the groove within the first set. No longer issues with Hendrix-inspired guitarists who insist on detuning to Eb or singers...

Boss GT-10b Becoming a Rare, High Dollar Find?

Belay that, got the Zoom B3n & I’m happy with it, pisser to mute quickly tho. Even making a mute patch would mean you’d need to sacrifice 1 of 3 stops in each bank to be instantaneous.

    New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Hiya, just gota B3n & pleased with the scope compared to my old B2.1u, which only just died-failed switch. Can't get the patch software to progress past, Device found, loading . . . got the update pathes in the pool, but no access to my device, even with the device showing: PC mode. Wondering...

NPD: ...replacing Zoom B3N and Boss GT-1B...

Just found the discontinued GT 10B & it’s the GO! Anyone who got one still has it, is my guess? I’m keen if there’s one going? It still has XLR OUTS, which seem to be out of favour? p
