This! I have an $8000 drumset that sounds like ass in my parents new house because the new basement isn't built for sound. I could buy a $500 kit and nobody would hear the difference.

Wrong on expanding one... You're better off starting from scratch. Get your friend to help. 2 things that you don't want to skimp on: the case itself and the powersupply within. If you get a decent case with good airflow then it will be the last one you ever buy. With a good power supply you're...
