There's some stunning basses in this thread, for sure. It's interesting to me how the impact of the looks seems to be enhanced when you get matching or closely related instruments in a group shot. It kinda makes me realise why antique dealers always freak out over "matching pair" items like pistols, vases, pictures, pieces of furniture and so on.

I really wanted a 100% matching Foundation 4 string with maple fretboard to go with my 5 but uhh...well, late night eBay bidding under the influence (I bid HOW much?!?) won me this gem with rosewood fretboard.

This Thread seems to be dying here so I figured it might be okay to deviate some.
Probably closer to fraternal twins than sisters. Two 1966 Fender Coronado II's. Both 100% original, in near perfect condition and used regularly. Bass is stone stock, had a troubled life in smoke filled bars early on but turned things around. Guitar is unique with zipper binding, early all chrome pups and it's only one of about 12 to have made it out with a factory Bigsby.
