At 34", aren't they to short for making a 34" Scale Length bass with a through-body-neck design? Wouldn't that put the bridge hanging off the end of the bass? My design so far...

I'm still in the design phase. I want to make a Neck-Through-Body design. I also want to make it 34" Scale Length. However, it seems that the StewMac Bass Neck Blanks 13/16" x 4-1/2" x 34" are not long enough for a 34" Scale Length bass of this design??? Wouldn't that leave the bridge...

My next question is, if I were to decide on making a headless bass, how does this affect the design of the truss rod? How could you adjust it if it were installed backwards? Or can it still be at the top of the neck somehow? -M
