I got the same rig in August - and I love it - mainly based on the positive comments on this great Bass forum. It is actually a good price for what you get although a tad heavy - good job i have a walkout basment ( where I practice) and can back my vehicle right to the door for easy loading :)

felt it for about 15 secs in North Toronto - no big deal really - by the time i realised what was going on it was over.

I just bought the MEsa M6 Carbine 2x12 combo .... its loud ! its powerful, its got great tone and a simple to use EQ cost is not much more than a 1x12 walkabout scout. downside - its quite heavy at 120 pounds - i cant get it down or up a flight of stairs on my own . a really nice peice of kit.

so i took the bass back to the store and the tech checked it over and declared that all was well grounding wise . basically nothing faulty & handed it back to me - I had already tested the ground and got almost zero ohms between varous ground points incl the shield paint so half expected this...

i do have dimmers and have experimented with them - and yes they do interfere - you can get some weird spacey sounds thru the amp turning the dimmers up & down :) However, i was able to kill them at the breaker but the buzzing was still there from somewhere else I have been able to...

thanks guys, dont really want to change pups on a brand new bass .... I'm going to the music store today so will try the bass in a couple of different amps so see if there is a difference and perhaps also try a couple of other basses too. I'll ask them to check for shielding as well
