How to install this bass bridge

I suspect you will have to, those larger studs will certainly contribute to a richer tone imo :ninja:. I would also like to make this mod on my Sub Ray-4.

Sterling by musicman s.u.b. LOVE any pitfalls that I should be aware of?

I have one and think its a wonderful bass for the price, I love the feel and tone I get from it. I accept that its not built to the quality of a US-made Stingray but I fail to see quite how that could be £1000-better than this bass is? In reality this is a solidly-built and set up instrument...

Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray4 and Ray5

I just got mine second-hand from E-Bay last week here in the UK, same version as yours. I've got to say how impressed I am with it, its very 'Musicman' in tone and is well set up and constructed. I really love it and the Black/maple version will soon be winging its way to me as I just love the...

Squier vintage modified club, part 2

The VM series basses from Squire are really love instruments for the price, in fact they are really lovely instruments period. My 1970 natural has been modified with traditional black knobs and chrome pick-up and bridge covers and now looks excellent.

Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray4 and Ray5

Question. Has anyone replaced the SUB's bridge for a 'correct' MM-style bridge and if so, which would you recommend and was it worth the bother? Just thinking that its a mod I might want to try and there are certainly a number of MM bridge copies out there, notwithstanding that they will be...

Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass VS Sterling by Musicman S.U.B. Ray 4 Bass

I have the VM's, lovely instruments and want the sub... have both!

Why do you own more then one bass?

I currently own two Squire VM Jazz Bass's; a fretless 'Jaco'-esq sunburst and the 1970 maple body/maple board job. Both are excellent instruments (regardless of the price in my opinion, which is cheap in any case). The difference is fairly clear between the tone and playability of a fretted...

Congrats on this bass, it looks simply stunning and a quality instrument. :hyper:

Squier vintage modified club, part 2

Both of these look like really good quality bass's and both are sold at a ludicrious price in the UK of about £300 new. Being the proud owner of the 70's Jazz bass bought part-ex for £100 cash and a 'not-very-good' 10-year old Vintage Musicman copy, I can certainly vouch for that one and the...
