Bless me TB, for I have sinned (and bought a guitar).

Been playing bass 5 years, started learning guitar seriously last year. I love playing guitar nearly just as much as bass. Playing bass has helped a lot in learning guitar. But also playing guitar has helped me learn my bass more. I don't see any sin being committed here!

    Favorite Hip-Hop/Rap Tracks

Cool fact cheers! I also know he played on Verses From The Abstract (only because Q-Tip shouts him out!) Couldn't agree more with you about Mobb Deep and Wu. I see your next post..Nas is a beast as well. My favourite song is Halftime.

    Favorite Hip-Hop/Rap Tracks

Great thread. While I don't listen to much Rap music being put out today, the rap in the 90's is probably my second favorite genre next to Rock and Roll. My favorite rap group? A Tribe Called Quest.. They are masters of bass. Listen to the song 'Excursions' just bass and drums and it sounds as...

    Ampless Practice

If I have to play with headphone I use my Focusrite interface plugged into my mac. Nothing beats an amp out loud though for me!

    Flatwounds and Hand Fatigue

Hi, I'd recommend the FL Labella set (104 gauge on the E string) and they are a great tension.

    Switching To Flatwounds On P-Bass?

I can confirm this! Strung GHS P flats thru body and FL Labella's both E strings snap after about three months. Worth going thru the bridge unless you get those specially designed flats.

    John Paul Jones

JPJ is one of (if not) my favourite bass players and not to mention his tone. Just check out those bridge parts in How Many More Times. So clear and round. Solid bass player.
