is the difference between a USA muff and a russian muff really that noticable? i've got a USA muff that i love love love with my baritone guitar but it sounds kinda weird on bass.. i dont really find it loses low end so much as sound kinda fat and sloppy. i'm wondering if maybe a russian muff...

i don't use a pick very often anymore, i used to almost exclusively and i just used generic hard ones from the music store.. nowadays though, i like to be able to switch back and forth using a pick and using fingers in the middle of songs, and the only way to do that is with those picks...
