    I've been looking for a decent weight (8lb range) black Retro 70's Stingray for awhile now, but they all seem to weight in the 10lb range.

    Yes but not all buffers are created the same. I own several, and have sold a few. The ones that I own that are actually different are the EUNA, and the old tube VHT Valvulator I. Your comment is like saying all tuners are the same because they all tune.

    I put my tuner in the EUNA's loop (without a return signal feed). This lets me tune silently and keeps my tuner out of my signal chain.
