The 18" cabinet actually runs 1000w at 8 ohms I've found out. If that is the culprit and it's because I'm running two cabinets with different ohms is it possible for me to get them to run at full potential? Someone told me a power attentuator might help.

I've got a 166xl myself but I'm thinking of selling it. I very rarely use it as I tend to be a bit more of a traditionalist and would rather challenge myself to play more evenly. I notice it does color the tone a little bit but to a very miniscule degree.
