    Taylor Amp?

Good ol' Tim Hortons!! I miss them, since I don't get Up North anymore. (Used to go to Peterborough, Ont about twice a year to visit friends.) There was a plastic EV logo on the speaker area, and you can see the EV logo on the speaker through the grille. The amp is solid, for sure, but...

    Taylor Amp?

I tried out the Traynor amp today. It is a TS-60B combo. I could not find any pics on the 'net to post/link to to show you. Anyhow, the thing weighs a ton (I need something a little lighter to move around the house), and the Gain pot crackles terribly. The guy at the shop winced each time...

    Epiphone Club

Can I have my number, or do I need to post a picture of the bass first? (Played the Epi through an SWR amp with 2 Eden 15 inch speakers last weekend. IT ROARED compared to my Fender Jazz!)

The "Official" Black 'n' Maple Basses Owners Club thread (Part 2)

I've got a B&M Epiphone Ripper from 2000. I'll have to get my wife to get some photos up of it. She's MUCH better at that kinda thing that I am!

I am a new Middle School Bas Teacher and need HELP

I like the Hal Leonard series of Bass Method books written by Ed Friedland. They come with or without a CD, and I think the CD is a big help. Now as you say, the sample tunes/lines are corny, but they DO teach the fundamentals. My guitar teacher, realizing that sample songs that build...

    Taylor Amp?

I tried to find what model it is on-line last night, but came up empty. The more I looked, the more it seemed to me that the amp is of the late 1970's to late 1980's range, which is cool by me. I might squeeze some time out of my lunchbreak tomorrow to test it out. Thanks for the replies...

    Taylor Amp?

The senior moments are coming more and more often... :hmm: Yes, Traynor was the name. I have never heard of them. I've only used Peavey, Sunn, and now SWR amps in the past.

    Any Good Bass Magazines?

I wish I could see an issue before ordering one on-line, but I can't find a store locally that sells it. Here's a link to their site: http://www.bassguitarmagazine.com

Are you good? What kind of good are you?

I am the Ringo of our band. I offer a lot of humor (some of it intentional, too!), and keep the beat going, but I am not flashy. I used to be about flash and speed, but I m just now getting back into playing and am rustier than a nail left outside for 15 years.

have you ever played this bass?

Not sure if this will be helpful or even valid, but I bought a Rondo P-Bass "clone" back in the wearlu 1980's. I really should have taken a deep breath and walked out of the store instead of letting my grandparents buy it for me. It stunk. Tone was terrible and some of the frets in the...

    Rick Danko

I never appreciated him "growing up" when a bass player had to let his fingers race up and down the fretboard to make an impact on me. Now that I am older, balder, and I hope wise, I appreciate bassists for a whole heck of a lot more than their speed. Rick Danko is up there with the...

    Taylor Amp?

Hi all, I'm looking for a practice amp, and saw a basic amp from Taylor that had a 12 inch EVA speaker in it. It was gently used, and looks about 10-15 years old. No frills - 5 band EQ, bass, treble, mid-range knobs, and a master volume/gain knob. I did not have the time to take it...
