The Aguilar are great PU's. Not the cheapest once. In my opinion they Work perfect with the Mustang . I put Chromes on it but I can't check it with my Amp yet. Before the Chromes I tried a older long scale set TI's which I cut to fit on the SS. They sound really good but they're too weak for a...

Hey@staurosjohn, sorry my English is not perfect. I hope I understand you correct that you are talking about the installation. If so, the only thing what does not fit is the wiring length of the J Pu. It must be extended to connect it with the toogle switch.

Here is my sonic blue. Changed the Pickups to an Aguilar PJ set. With this Set the PU's are balanced and the J is noiseless. I really love this Bass. I sold my Precision and my Jazzbass stays in the Gigbag since I own the Mustang.
