I use a harmonizer , Boss ps-6 and set it to oct. UP,m I also have a 8 string Hagstrom Bass H8 and it is pretty damn close

In my old power trio ( playing gtr ) the bass player used a Big Muff during the leads , it worked great and made it sound like a 2nd gtr. , Used a boss Harmonizer pedal on Bass at +1 oct during leads in my other band , its all about the MIX of dry and FX level, to hot and it can sound over...

On a seat !!! no transfer of energy to the floor = DEAD sound ! , I have the 2x10 and 112 MB amps in open air I always go thru the PA , your issue is the bleacher seats., IMO

never bothered using standby , 45 yrs using tube guitar amps and NEVER had an issue , no bad tubes no burnt stuff , nothin' just sayin' .
