I paired my 115e with the 112he and I absolutely adore it. Is it a possibility that ampeg underpowered there 115 so it wouldn't sound flabby?or maybe I'm the dolt.

the tubes are just stock. I've had the amp for 3 years and have used it a ton for gigs and rehearsals. The amp died on me recently during a gig and I had to go direct. Thank god for dimarzio that my bass didn't sound as terrible as I thought it was going to. Thanks for the help.

time for a tube change for my ampeg svt3. What kinds of tubes? Should I do it myself? Any additional information?

Are you having issues of it buzzing from the pickup, because sometimes the pickup on that bass buzzes. It might not be able to go as low as you'd want it, especially if you play more of an aggressive style.

AD2022 was the model it's a vocal preamp

Try running the master volume and tube gain up the full way and control your volume with the gain knob. great sounds

I think this would be a great combination. Sounds really good with ampeg 810 also.

Avalon AD2022 was the setup in the studio I used. It was a treat, it had absolutely perfect transparency. What a price tag though, makes it impossible to attempt to gig with it. It's a real studio monster.
