    It took me a long time to accept the fact that FOH is None of My Business. Gotta let the sound crew do their work. And, these days, the bass and drums will be 20 times too loud for the style of music. Just gotta let it go. Wow! This is surprisingly therapeutic!

    Yes, Fender Flats. 45-95s are very playable immediately and will sound Perfect after a few hours vigorous play. Or the next tension set up.

    Fender 9050L Flatwound Set. Give them several weeks to settle. Good to go for several years. Repeat.

    Double Bass D'Addario Zyex

    Spiro on bottom and Zyex on top has worked very well for me, but now I'm only using the Zyex G. The Zyex D was hollow sounding on this particular bass so I went back to the Spiro D.

    Every scale letter must be there, in order. That explains the occasional double flat and double sharp. E sharp sounds the same as F, but in an F sharp scale it must be written E sharp.

    Make a fritatta. Pasta in a hot pan for a minute, scramble raw eggs and add. Cook gently, turning over once. Soooooooo good. This is what Italians do with extra pasta. Then they drive to the opera in their Lamborghini.
