Does anybody still have their first bass and amp?

First bass, a GSR 200. First amp, Hartke VX3500. Still have both. Still use the Hartke as my main amp.

    Fretless Bass Recommendations

I was at SamAsh looking around and picked up a Squier VM Fretless Jazz. It played so well! The neck was awesome, Ebanol fretboard was cool. Different for sure. And a few different people came from across the store to inquire just what I was playing. Sounded nice!

Hey, welcome aboard! I'm not the number guy though. If they're still giving out numbers someone here should give you one.

    Cover song selection

I'm lead vocals and bass in my band. Hard rock/alternative covers. I make the songlist. About 30 songs on list now, 5 or 6...

2nd singer/perc player bails on NYE gigs, band member goes ballistic

Lucky it wasn't me he was dealing with. Right or wrong, I would have freaked. There's just some things you don't do. I'm the BL. Rhythm guy knows me well. 20-25 yrs or something. Drummer only been around 5 months or so. He's never seen me go off. I'd end up in jail. I'd kick the drummers ass...

increase sustain as much as possible

Pick up a Fat Finger and clamp it on your bass head. The increased mass is supposed to increase sustain. About 15.00.
