The Best and the cheapest strings for all the Basses I own and play are Zachary Hand Made in the U.S. Graduated Tension Flatwounds. I've tried many of the big brands and the Zachary's feel,play and sound much better.

I own and use a Bugera BVP5500. This Amp is Punchy, Powerful and Reliable. Great Tone,simple to use. Basic good looks and very under priced. Grab yourself one of these and a 2 unit rack case [shallow] and you will enjoy your Bass Playing much more, knowing you have a good Amp Driving your sound.

I use "ZOG" strings from Zachary Guitars on all of my Basses. They are the correct tension and are tight and punchy.

Zachary Guitars "ZOG" strings have a tapered B and E They're also graduated tension so your B is tight and punchy.

ZOG strings are the only correct tension strings on the market. Use them and feel and hear the difference they make.
